I hope you'll join me on this adventure and we can learn together. I am confident that this journey will be enlightening. So buckle up, and let's get started!
The Gist - New breath
Growing up in a Christian home, I attended church services and answered altar calls on several occasions. My motivation for responding to such calls was not only because of the message preached but also because of the fear of eternal damnation. The popular gospel then was that Jesus was coming back soon, and to me, it felt like he was near. The fear I had for hell made me seek Jesus and that led to why I kept answering altar calls.
As I entered middle school in 8th grade, I became more conscious of Jesus and desired to live a Christian life. However, I was unsure of how to go about it. I decided to develop the habit of reading my Bible one chapter per day, starting with the Book of Romans. Additionally, I began to pray daily, even if it was only for two minutes. This practice marked the beginning of my spiritual growth, and I was committed to implementing the principles I read and heard. On my journey, I met people of my tribe who loved the Lord and had their minds set on living for Him.
The Lessons
I recently learned from a woman of God that Jesus is not only a way of escape from hell but also wisdom to live our days. The day we begin to live a meaningful life is the day we become wise, not of the wisdom of this world which is vain but of the wisdom of God. Giving my life to Christ at an early age remains the best decision I have ever made.
Some misconceptions accepting Christ at a young age would rob one of life's pleasures. However, we did not create the life we desire to enjoy, and it would be better to live in the one who created that life. Jesus Christ is not only a way of escape from hell but also the wisdom needed to enjoy life. This decision is personal, and it is advisable to make it now. No one is created to live unto himself or herself; it is either living unto the devil or Christ, Romans 6:16.
If you decide to become a saved person now, you will realize how the one who owns your life has been waiting for you to realize this truth and yield. Romans 14:7 states that none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. The choice of the life we live is ours to make by choosing life Himself - Jesus. Allowing Jesus into one's life guarantees a fulfilled life on earth and a secure life in eternity.
In conclusion, I encourage you to decide to allow Jesus into your life. This decision does not rob you of anything but guarantees more significant pleasures and fulfilment in life.
